Terms of Use

Salis is an online marketplace in the United Arab Emirates that connects renters with independent rental agents.

• Vehicles and other rental products listed on Salis are owned and provided by the agents, not by Salis.
• The rental agreement for each booking is between you and the agent.
• Salis provides the platform for browsing, booking, payment, and communication, and supports both parties throughout the process.

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to use Salis.
• Some listings have their own minimum age or licence requirements, which are shown on the product page and must be met to book.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information and verify your email address.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

• Submitting a booking creates a request that stays Pending until the agent confirms it.
• Agents may accept or decline booking requests at their discretion.
• A pending booking that has not been confirmed within 24 hours of its start time may be cancelled automatically.
• Changes, extensions, and additional services are subject to availability and agent approval, and may change the total price.
• Cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and the agent's own cancellation terms shown during booking.

• You must upload valid identification documents requested for your booking, such as a driving licence and Emirates ID or passport.
• Bookings with missing required documents 48 hours after being placed may be cancelled automatically.
• Before handover you may be asked to review and sign a rental agreement with the agent.
• Agents may refuse handover if documents are invalid, expired, or do not match the renter.

• Prices are set by agents and charged in UAE Dirhams (AED). Prices shown in other currencies are estimates for convenience only.
• Depending on the agent, you can pay online or pay at the store at pickup.
• Promo codes and offers are subject to their own conditions and may be limited to one use per customer.
• Some agents require a refundable security deposit, collected and returned by the agent.
• Extra charges may apply for late returns, fuel differences, excess mileage, traffic fines, tolls, or damage.

When renting through Salis, you agree to:

• Use rented products lawfully, safely, and only for their intended purpose
• Follow the agent's rental terms, including fuel, mileage, and usage rules
• Return products on time, in the same condition you received them
• Report any accident, damage, or breakdown to the agent immediately
• Pay any traffic fines, tolls, and penalties incurred during your rental period

• Salis Points and wallet credits can only be used on the Salis platform.
• They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, and cannot be transferred to another account.
• Salis may adjust or remove points obtained through error, fraud, or misuse.

• You can leave a review after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience.
• Reviews must not contain offensive, misleading, or unlawful content, or other people's personal information.
• Salis may remove content that breaches these Terms.
• All Salis branding, design, and software are owned by Salis and may not be copied or reused without permission.

You must not:

• Provide false information or impersonate another person
• Make bookings on behalf of others without their consent
• Arrange payments with agents outside the platform to avoid Salis fees
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Use Salis for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose

• Agents are solely responsible for the condition, safety, insurance, and legality of the products they list.
• Salis does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salis is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform or any rental.

• Salis may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or show signs of fraud or misuse.
• You can request deletion of your account at any time from your account settings.
• Deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request by contacting us.
• Some records may be retained after deletion where required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continuing to use Salis after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
